Orn are a new three piece doom metal band from Toronto, one drummer, two guitarists and a wall of amplifiers. Orn's doom is heaving and raw, the drone is delivered in snarling unapologetic straight shots. The intensity is built up and torn down with minimal structures with guttural screams, sustaining guitars and punishing insistent rhythms that force their way into your mind. With extended listen the music becomes impossibly heavy and hypnotic hitting you with wave after wave of hard charging, supremely gratifying, destroyed noise. Whisper Room - Birch White CD

Whisper Room is a trio based in Toronto, Canada and Berlin, Germany featuring Aidan Baker of Nadja on guitar/affects, Neil Wiernik of NAW on bass/laptop and Jakob Thiesen on Students on drums/electronics. These three creative minds had moved in similar musical circles in Toronto and Montreal for years sporadically sharing stages but did not actively come together to play as a trio until Dec 2006. Since then they have worked as a improvisational unit and combined their disparate musical backgrounds to create music which explores the conjunction of electronic rhythms and textures with the pulsations and psychedelics and shoegaze and krautrock music. After the initial meeting and first set of shows it was clear that the collaboration between the three had a rare dynamism that took the music to another level. Thus was born Whisper Room and we couldn’t be more proud to present the first full length release, Birch White.

thisquietarmy is the ambient/drone project of Eric Quach, from Montreal's post shoegazer band Destroyalldreamers. His guitar-based sonic experimentations challenge the boundaries of the conventional guitar-drone mould by combining both non-frigid song structure and ambiance together, blending layers of textures over textures, merging faint growing melodies in a beautiful sea of noise & tightening loose ends together. Blackhaunter is thisquietarmy's sophomore release, It's themes revolve around inner demons and the darker side of affairs. The cleansing ritual is processed in slow motion throughout six powerful mood shifting tracks, while struggling deeply between the realms of ghostly dreams and sexy nightmares. Extra spicy agony, marital metronomic beats and haunting suffocation included. Expect to wake up from this deliverance covered in sweat.

Welcome to Blood Meridian's 3rd album "Liquidate Paris", where Black Mountains Josh, Matt and gang take you on a 9 song journey deep into the land of psyche/weird/ countryesque -folk. This time around Blood Meridian delve pretty deep into an early 60's vibe where fans of the earlier ESP folkier records, Skip Spence's Oar and maybe even a little early Bob Seger System will find comfort in the grooves of Liquidate Paris. This record began as more of an experiment, tracking to a Tascam 8 track cassette recorder in early 2007 in a moldy basement beneath a crack infested street in Vancouver which really helped produce the overall spooky vibe.

Adam Payne and his psyche cohorts deliver a 20 min EP of a skronky psyche amalgamation of everything he has done before with the low-fi freakouts, krautrock vibes, and guitar tsunamis yet this time around they also seem to find their pop voice and channel some amazing early 60’s vibes and even let some of the 70-80’s so cal punk creep in around the edges. This one will definitely put a smile on any RE fans face and if you are new to them surely a great intro to this amazing band.
